COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund for Local Cancer Patients.
The St. Francis Foundation's Cancer Care Committee has come together to meet an immediate need for our immune-compromised, local cancer patients and we need your help. Our focus is to keep these patients and their families at home. To aid in this, we will be placing online orders for food deliveries for them through Schwan's Home Delivery.
This campaign has been launched with a generous lead gift from 10 Squared Men of Nodaway County with $14,000 to begin to meet this immediate need. Thank you to these wonderful men for their support! |
Please consider a gift to provide meal deliveries. Please note that this is NOT just meant to serve those families with financial need. This assistance is for ALL, and we want all cancer patients across our service region to take advantage of this. We will contact our local patients that see either Dr. AJ or Dr. Breier to make them aware that this program is available, but will also support all local cancer patients across our service area that may not receive care at our Mosaic Medical Center-Maryville Oncology locations.
All requests should come to Megan Jennings, St. Francis Foundation Director of Development through phone (660)562-7933 or email at [email protected]. Once the initial request has been received, a member of our local St. Francis Foundation's Cancer Care Committee will reach out to the patient or family to place a specialized order based upon the family size, dietary and allergy restrictions. Each patient will receive one meal delivery every other week, and we will continue this program as long as the COVID-19 threat is still in existence and funds are available. |
